Morgue of Munro | A Gallery Devoted to Caroline Munro

It was Caroline Munro's star quality on the 1970's Lamb's Navy Rum billboards which directly led to a Hammer contract, delivering DRACULA A.D. 1972 (as thrill-seeking Laura) and CAPTAIN KRONOS VAMPIRE HUNTER (as gypsy Carla). Her aversion to on-screen nudity lead to a dissolution of the contract, but the cult hits continued to flow with THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD, AT THE EARTH'S CORE and THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (as helicopter assassin Naomi). Munro joined Joe Spinell in two infamous outings of the early 1980's - MANIAC and THE LAST HORROR FILM - but her most dubious choice was to become a hostess on the Ted Rogers/Yorkshire Television game show 3-2-1

Music of Munro

Munro repeatedly tried to break into the music industry; an extraordinary coup saw the actress/model recording a version of 'Tar and Cement' while still at school with Cream and Steve Howe as backing musicians. Subsequent ventures included working with Gary Numan, a singing cameo in DON'T OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS, teaming up with then husband Judd Hamilton on a 1975 single, and Gary Wilson on a CD of covers. Munro also appeared on album sleeves, such as George Chisholm's Getting Romantic and faux compilations Non Stop Hits Vol 6 and Hot Hits 11.

Book Covers

Caroline's alluring image also appeared on a number of paperback and hardback novels, promoting genres as diverse as adventure, romance, erotica and big business.
